Soda Madre

Wild fermented sodas from Oaxaca

What is Soda Madre?

Soda as it once was…

Soda Madre is a small-batch fermented soda made in Oaxaca from real fruits, roots, flowers, herbs, and other natural ingredients.

We combine traditional fermentation with the flavors of Mexico to create drinks that are bright, complex, naturally sparkling, and full of character.

No artificial flavors. No industrial syrups, no automation. Just good ingredients, fermentation, time, and a little Madre.

Made by fermentation

Instead of simply adding carbonation, we use a ginger bug that creates fermentation leading to natural fizz.

Each batch develops its own character as naturally occurring cultures transform the ingredients, creating layers of flavor and a lively, refreshing finish.

Inspired by Oaxaca

Our flavors come from the ingredients and traditions around us—from tamarindo and maracuyá to hibiscus, ginger, cacao, and whatever beautiful thing we discover next.

Soda Madre is our way of making something familiar feel new again.

Real ingredients. Wild fermentation. The flavor of the coast of Oaxaca in a bottle.
